FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should we book you?

Ideally 6–12 months ahead. Popular dates (especially spring and fall) book quickly, so the sooner the better. That said, if your wedding is sooner then reach out! If we’re available, we’d love to make it work.

What’s your filming style?

Our style is documentary-meets-cinematic. We aim to capture the real emotions, fleeting moments, and natural beauty of your day without turning it into a movie set. Think of us as storytellers blending into the background. We never force anything. We just observe and document your story as it unfolds.

Do you direct us during the day?

Our approach is to document rather than direct. We may gently guide you during portraits or special moments like the first look, but we’re not going to pull you out of a moment to stage anything. Your comfort and authenticity are more important to us.

We’re camera shy. Any advice?

Totally normal—and honestly so are we! But we don’t view being camera shy a bad thing. You’re more likely to be natural and connected. The best advice we have? Forget the camera is there. Focus on each other. If you feel awkward then laugh! Laugh, cry, hug your people. We’ll capture it all quietly, from the sidelines.

how do you work with photographers?

We want you to have great video and great pictures, so we work with the photographer like a teammate. We coordinate before the wedding and stay in sync throughout the day. Our goal is to give you the best of both worlds without stepping on anyone’s toes. We always aim for a collaborative, respectful flow.

How long does it take to get our video?

Typically 3-4 months after the wedding depending on the season. We take our time to craft something meaningful and timeless.

Do you offer destination packages?

Yes! For weddings outside of the New Orleans area, please contact us for more information on our destination pricing.

Who will film my wedding?

It’s almost always Nathan and Alee. Alee has some other artistic endeavors and is sometimes already booked for a Saturday, but Nathan will always be the primary shooter.

what is super 8?

Super 8 film is a vintage style video filmed on a retro Super 8 film camera. We can add rolls of film to your digital package, or we can create a custom quote for a Super 8 only package.

Can I pick the music for my wedding video?

We consider choosing music to be one of the most important creative decisions in the editing process. If you have requests about music style, we will do our best to accommodate those, however, we have limited access to specific songs because of copyrights.

Do you film elopements or smaller weddings?

Absolutely. Please contact us for a custom quote.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give couples planning their wedding?

Be present. Things may run behind. The weather may change. But none of that matters as much as the reason you’re getting married. Surround yourself with people who support you, and trust your vendors—we’re here to carry the stress so you don’t have to.

Why should we hire you?

Because we’re more than videographers. We’re your calm in the storm, your quiet hype team, your extra pair of hands when no one else knows how to pin a boutonniere. We don’t just deliver a film, we help you feel your day all over again, years from now.
